As part of Principia College’s continuing commitment to sustainability, it will construct a solar farm on the north side of Beltrees Road, adjacent to the Cross-Country course. The farm will occupy 8 acres of Principia’s 2600-acre campus. When fully operational, it will supply 28% of the campus’ needs and reduce carbon emissions by 4.5 million pounds annually. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 11 from 4:30 – 5 pm on site.  Those attending should park in the Crafton Athletic Center lot (south side of the road).
